Officers from our Community Engagement Division assisted the Salvation Army and delivered presents to seniors in our community.

Our Criminal Justice students, who are also in the Rock Hill South Carolina Police Department Cadet Program, held an evening class for some additional training and scenario work. The cadets earned certifications in Stop the Bleed and NARCAN training, courtesy of our EMS instructors.

Captain Stinson, Sgt. Andrews, and Officer Whiteside volunteered with Serve & Connect to help pack food boxes for Greg’s Groceries. These boxes are filled with non-perishable food that officers can provide to the those in need in our community.

Officers attended the New Hope Carolinas Community Cookout. It was an awesome event as we were able to meet staff and kids. We heard a success story from an individual that completed the program obtaining a college degree and started both a career and a family.

Hayvonia's Giving Hands was out feeding those in need. Officer Austin was in one of the neighborhoods and they waved to him to come by. He met some very kind ladies who enjoyed getting to know him and thanked him for serving the community. Thank you to Hayvonia’s Giving Hands and all the volunteers who passed out many meals yesterday.

We had a crowd visit the department for National Police Week. They came and thanked numerous officers during their visits.

The Miracle League at Rock Hill Miracle Park is a wonderful time for all involved. Our officers are having a blast making new friends and exceeding boundaries with these athletes.

School Resource Officer Byers and Lt. Chavis were invited to join the cast. These two stars were type-cast as the "Cop" however they thoroughly enjoyed sharing the stage with such a talented group of young adults. Opportunities like these are about building relationships, but more importantly having fun.

India Hook Elementary School held its career vehicle day. Sgt. Johnson and Officer Leary made a trip to the school to display a patrol and SWAT vehicle. These vehicles were a big hit as some of the kids did not want to leave without a ride around the block.
